This post includes my recipes for three different fish taco components. Fried Fish, Cabbage Slaw, and Cilantro Lime Crema. Go ahead and try the individual recipes on their own. The cilantro lime crema is particularly delicious on top of sweet potatoes, soups, or just about anything. This week I have another inspiring AIP Spotlight interview for you! Leanne Gotvald shares her experiences following the Autoimmune Protocol. Chocolate. That wonderful thing you miss once you start the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol. Don't worry, with just a few minutes and a few ingredients you can eat something chocolatey again. This soup is deceptively simple. Simple is good. However, don't think it is short on nutrition or flavour. I recently bought an Instant Pot which is a pressure cooker/combo-cooker. It is a wonderfully useful tool to have in my AIP kitchen. I have used it every day since I opened it! I love how quick and easy it made making this nightshade free, paleo autoimmune protocol compliant BBQ sauce. The sweet potato fry. Savoury, sweet, chewy, crispy, soft...I may be in love a little. These have been a staple for me while following the Autoimmune Protocol. Let's admit it. Giving up bread products is difficult. While I don't eat a lot of them now I am on the AIP, I can still satisfy a craving once in a while. Like with this bread. It may not look like much, but don't be fooled. This dinner bread hits the spot; especially paired with soup, stew, or chili.
Are you ready for another look into an AIP life? This week's interview is with the lovely Meagen Ashley! Let's take a peek at how she makes AIP work in her busy life as a schoolteacher.
