This post includes my recipes for three different fish taco components. Fried Fish, Cabbage Slaw, and Cilantro Lime Crema. Go ahead and try the individual recipes on their own. The cilantro lime crema is particularly delicious on top of sweet potatoes, soups, or just about anything.
All the components come together to make a perfect fish taco. The fish is well seasoned, the slaw adds some sweetness and crunch, and the crema is so zesty and flavourful! I think the perfect tortillas for this are my AIP Cassava Root Tortillas, but feel free to use whatever kind of tortilla you prefer!

Fish Tacos
To assemble fish tacos use 1 tortilla, a scoop of cabbage slaw, 1 piece of fish & a spoonful of cilantro lime crema per taco. Top with fresh cilantro & a squeeze of lime, if desired.
Tip: You can skip the tortillas and use lettuce leaf wraps, or serve these up as fish taco bowls!

Hey Deanna! I hope they worked out well for you. Sorry I didn't see this earlier. No, it is not absolutely necessary for the cooked Cassava to have been frozen & then defrosted. I just prefer the texture for working with it. As long as it is cold you should be good! ;)

Absolutely delish!!! All elements worked beautifully together! I've made a lot of fish tacos, and this seasoning mix is by far my favorite. I blended the yuca immediately after cooking and spread out on my silpat. Only took a couple of minutes before I was able to make the tortillas. Will definitely add this recipe to the rotation. Thank you for such a delicious recipe!

I made this recipe for my family last night. My husband and 3 boys (9, 6 and 2) LOVED it. It was a win-win for me while I'm doing an AIP diet and trying to feed my family. They loved everything about it. The homemade tortillas, slaw, the sauce and the seasonings om the fish. Thank you for this recipe. I will be making it again.

I really enjoyed this recipe! I made the fish seasoning a second time and added Trader Joe's seafood mix to fish in the pan and it was delicious. I made a chopped salad of cabbage, red onion, carrots, celery, radishes, and cucumber and used the cabbage dressing for it. Delish! Thanks for the recipe.
